M‑Club and the Maine West faculty went at it again on Wednesday, December 11, in their annual basketball game at Maine East Field House. The faculty handed M‑Club a 54-43 loss.

Led by Mr. Robert Goerne and Mr. John Amason, each scoring 13 and 9 points respectively, the faculty exhibited a hustling offense and a defense that forced M‑Club to shoot from the outside. M‑Club was at one point leading, 21‑20, but the faculty ran off 10 straight points to take a 30‑21 lead at half time.

The second half was a close battle, with the faculty scoring two more points than M‑Club. The final score was 54‑43.

Leading the scoring for M-Club was Dave Winn '69 with 13 points. Paul Bartholomae '69 contributed 7 points, while Gary Pruitt '69 and Dale Diescharf '69 each tossed in 6 points. Howie Baer '69 put in 4 points for the M‑Club cause.

Scoring for the faculty besides Mr. Goerne and Mr. Amason, were Mr. Don Olson with 6 points, Mr. Ron Brown, Mr. Bruce Erickson, and Mr. Fred Bencriscutto each scored 4 points.

The faculty came out hustling, but M‑Club did not faze. Mr. Amason and Kevin Weller had a contest going to see who spent the most time on the ground. The audience was delighted at the antics of Mr. Phil Kardasz and Mr. Ken Lindquist.

Also getting into the game for the faculty were Mr. Chuck Lawyer, Mr. John Lord, and Mr. Charles Wagoner.
