By DARLENE LIEBERT
'Twas the day before Valentine's Day
And all through the store
Were hearts and flowers and
Gay cupids galore
With arrows all ready
And bows spread wide
Aimed firm and steady
To pierce a lover's side.
You've seen Cupid in flight
With his tiny wings spread
Surrounded by hearts
All white and red.
Some cupids just float
Midst clouds up above
Waiting to capture
Two people in love.
Others will sing and
Play on a lyre,
Their music enchanting
Sets one's heart on fire.
Others send love notes
By wire or mail,
Like good ole "Cyrano"
These never fail.
Some give sweet candy
To please the taste,
These little goodies
You never waste.
Some give a round gift
That has no end,
'Tis a ring that's a symbol
Of more than a friend.
Each day is Valentine's Day
At Maine West.
We love it all.
Cupid gets no rest.
