Warrior Cindermen Demolish
Niles East by 93-16 Score

The Warrior cinderman made a shambles of Niles East last week as they captured first place in all but one event and went on to win 93‑16.

Gary Pruitt '69 was the only double winner as he took the low and high hurdles with times of 6.4 and 6.6. Delmar Hanson '70 placed second in these two events. Al Shank '69 won the two‑mile in 10:46.4 while John Plas '69 and Darrell Jonnason '69 placed next.

Bob North '70, Mark Henkes '70, and Gerry Krainik '70 swept the 50‑yard dash, while Dave Marrinson '69, Jim Kail '70 and Ian Gordon '70 swept the high jump.

All Henkes needed to win the long jump was 18' 41/2". Gene Behrens '69 placed second with 18'4". Krainik took the 440‑yard dash with a time of 52.8. Luke Burchard '70, Jim Fisher, '70 and Gene Behrens swept the pole vault; and Bob Glitz '69, Mike Wolf '69, and Steve John­son '70 did the same in the mile.

Maine's sprint relay, composed of North, Drake, Pruitt, and Henkes, ran away with the race and won with a time of 1:17.4. Niles got nine of their points in the shot put as not one Warrior could place. North, Wolf, Krainik, and Henkes easily won the mile relay with a time of 3:41.9.
