Thirty‑six new teachers have joined the Maine West faculty this year. The English Department received nine new members: Mrs. Laura Bachman, Miss Joanne Galka, Mr. Lowell Hallenbeck, Mrs. Margaret Morrisroe, Mrs. Nancy Norve, Mrs. Sandra Randall, Mr. Norris Wika, and Mr. Douglas Wilkie. Mr. Daryl Shultz, another new department member, is teaching speech and drama this year.

The Social Science Department received eight additional staff members: Miss Janet Casey, Mr. Charles Dunn, Mr. Fred Franz, Mr. Keith Hooton, Miss Mary Ingram, Miss Judith Patterson, Miss Jane Poff, and Miss Janice Sturm.

Mrs. Marcia Eischen, Mrs. Barbara Enns, Mrs. Shirley Verber, and Miss Mary Herbert have joined the Home Economics Department.

The five new teachers who joined the Mathematics Department are Mr. Robert Hickey, Mr. Leslie Jannusch, Miss Kathryn Mularkey, Mr. Ronald Paul, and Miss Bonnie Scott.

The Physical Education Department received four new members: Mr. Daniel Bianucci, Miss Louella Blame, Mr. Thomas Frederick, and Miss Linda Larner.

Mr. John Craigle, also a new staff member, is teaching photography this year at Maine. This is a new course offered at Maine and has been very successful in gaining student response.

Other new faculty members include: Mr. Donald Lord, Music; Mrs. Sylvia Nemecek, Special Education; Mrs. Barbara Rees, Librarian; and Miss Lois Guertin, Language.

Three new guidance counselors have been added since last year. They include: Mr. Randall Johnson, Mrs. Marilyn Rick, and Miss Merry Ring.
