Letter To The Editor

Dear Editor:
As everyone knows, the Brotherhood Assembly was Wednesday (March 4). Year after year the same thing happens ‑ people who don't deserve to be on Brotherhood get elected to it. Why? That's what I'd like to know.

The Brotherhood Society supposedly has a meaning behind it: to be kind and friendly to others. Some of the kids in Brotherhood won't bother to look at you, let alone turn to say, "Hi." They look down on you as though you're inferior to them, and they stick with their own little cliques.

I know people who are friends of everyone, at least they try to be. They're always saying "Hi" to people and just being naturally friendly. These people, the ones that really should be on the Brotherhood Society, go absolutely unnoticed.

I think the Brotherhood Society in our school is a big farce! It's a popularity contest, not a brotherhood contest. People don't think about other people; they just think of themselves.
