The cheerleading practices this year will be held on April 8, 9, and 10. All girls wishing to attend should meet in C‑wing gym after school on the above days.

The finals for the varsity squad will be held on April 21, and any sophomore or junior may try out for the squad.

Finals for the junior varsity squad will be held on April 22. Any sophomore or junior may also try out for this squad.

April 23 is the day that the frosh-soph squad will be judged. Only freshmen may try out for this squad.

Loose clothing should be worn for freedom of movement. Nothing tight or confining should be worn as it may hinder the jump The girls should wear culottes or pleated skirts and loose sweaters. All girls must wear gym socks and gym shoes. Girls with long hair must tie it back and keep it neat.

When asked what the girls will be judged on, Mrs. Ramona McCoun, the cheerleading sponsor, said, "We judge the girls on their pep, enthusiasm, appearance, leadership ability, jumps, and tumbling."

Anyone with any questions about the cheerleading tryouts should see Mrs. McCoun before homeroom in room A‑209.
