Tennis Works Toward Good
Season Record

With varsity lettermen, Jack Williams, Dave Keehn, Ron Finstad, and Tim Wayman returning to the courts this year, the Maine West tennis team is hopefully looking forward to a fine showing. in their scheduled upcoming meets.

Junior racketman Steve Jackson's attitude toward this new season is encouraging, as he comments, 'Our team looks as great as it ever will look this year. We're ready to start winning right now."

Coach Roger King's boys are considered in the conference as a very strong team in the singles matches and better than average in the doubles.

The toughest opponent for the Warriors this year will probably be the Cowboys from New Trier West. Fortunately for Maine West the only scheduled meet with New Trier is slated for Tuesday, May 12, here at Maine West.

The upcoming meet for the racketmen is next Tuesday as they travel away to meet Willowbrook. Steve Jackson confidently remarked, "We shouldn't have any trouble with Willowbrook. They are generally a weak team all around. What I'm looking forward to is the quadrangular meet next Saturday. We've got three tough teams to play in that contest."
