The French, Spanish, and German clubs recently held their first international party. Members of all three clubs attended the party, which was held after school in the school cafeteria.

French Club with Mrs. Charlotte Riddle as sponsor, provided eclairs, Napoleons, rosettes, pop, and entertainment by Jan Whitehouse '70 and Miriam Bakus '70, on guitars, and Dee Dee Scarff '72. Their music selections were "Scarbourough Fair," "Tie Me Kangaroo Sport," and "One Silver Dollar."

Spanish Club with Miss Heidemarie Rupp as sponsor, provided decorations and a skit by Janice Pintacura '72, Barbara Drensky '72, Laurey McAvoy '72, Rosemarie Duntemann '72, her little sister Ellen Duntemann, and Carolyn Nielsen '72.

German Club with Miss Rosalie Streng as sponsor, provided pretzels, root beer, and German chocolate cake for refreshments; and Cindy Lambert '72, Maria Richter '72, Carla Krebs '72, Chris Basile '71, Mary Suchow '73, Dianne Garms '73, Shirley Frank '72, and Evelyn Basile '70 sang "Schnitzelbank."

When asked what she thought the purpose of a language club was, Miss Streng replied, "Its purpose is to stimulate and interest members in that particular country's culture."
