Jim Thinks Team Needs Consistency

Sports personality Jim Kulik '70 commented on team standings. "It's impossible to say in this conference. It seems like any team is capable of beating another on a given day. Consistency is what will tell."

Jim also commented on his own performance. "No ball player should be completely satisfied with his performance. There's always room for improvement. I hope to do better as all the players do."

Jim is an avid baseball fan. He likes the Cubs and the Red Sox. He also is a big booster of Henry Aaron. "Henry Aaron is the most underrated player in baseball. He can do everything well, and it seems he hits line drives all the time." Jim predicted the Cubs would win their division race. He also predicted Cincinnatti, Minnesota, and Baltimore will win their respective divisions.

Jim. plans to attend either Boston College or the University of Pennsylvania. His family favors the University of Pennsylvania because it's Ivy League, but he's undecided.

Jim would like to be a sports writer although he is undecided on that also. Jim concluded by saying that there is no doubt that the Warriors pitching can hold up the rest of the season. "Bert Gastorf is the most underrated pitcher in the conference if not the state."

He also said, "The call by the umpires at Niles West was simply the worst exhibition of umpiring I've ever seen."
