Seniors To Graduate Thursday Night

On Thursday, June 11, at 8 p.m. the Class of 1970 will graduate. It will be held in the Maine West spectator gymnasium. This year's graduating class will be the second to use the new gymnasium.

The exercises will begin with the presentation of the colors, followed by the National Anthem. The Invocation will be given by Reverend Herbert Nagel from Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Des Plaines.

Mr. Herman Rider, principal of Maine West, will introduce the president of the Senior Class, Scott Hayward. He will give his welcome address and introduce the class salutatorian and valedictorian. They will give their commencement addresses.

A scroll will be presented by Mr. Rider to Mr. Victor Camsky, retiring teacher at Maine West. Mr. Roy Makela, president of the Board of Education, will present Mrs. Gladys Paulson, Girls' Physical Education Department, with a watch for 25 years of service rendered.

Dr. Richard Short, superintendent of Maine Township High School District 207, will present the Class of 1970 to Mr. Makela for his acceptance.

Diplomas will be presented by Mr. Michael Bartos, Mr. by McConnell. Reverend David Graham. and Mr. John Means, members of the Board of Education.

The Class of 1970 will sing the Alma Mater together for the last time, as the exercises come to a close.

The graduates' names will be announced by Mr. Robert Rupar and Mrs. George Walker, Maine West English Department teachers.

The Concert Band, led by Mr. Robert Kuite, and Mr. James Thunder, organist, will play the processional and recessional.
