Preparations Underway For
'Collage of Color'

Plans are underway for this year's V‑Show, "Collage of Color," which will be presented on November 19, 20, 21, and 22. Tryouts for the show began last Monday and will continue through October 1. The staff will choose all the acts, and any type of act can try out.

The staff consists of Rene Hoekstra '71, student director; Carol Gravesmill '71, coordinator; Mike Greene '71, assistant coordinator; music directors Marj Cameron '71, Doug Kuite '71, and Jim Sedleck '71. Karen Dahm '71, make-up director; Lori Anderson '72, costume designer; Dianne Zmuda '71, set designer; and Gloria DeFranco '71, choreographer complete the list of staff members.

When asked how the staff was chosen, Rene explained that she was nominated for the job in Student Council. Council then selected her from the other candidates. The rest of the staff she chose herself with the assistance of Mr. Daryl Schultz, faculty director. The students were chosen because of their knowledge in specific fields.

The faculty members assisting Mr. Schultz are Mr. Robert Kuite, music director; Mr. Robert Norris, set designer and technical assistant; Mr. Robert Pelikan, technical director of set construction; and Mr. Eugene Patrizi, costume supervisor.

The staff members will begin work on October 5, when the rehearsals start. When discussing the show, Rene said, "This year I hope it will be shorter. In the past it has been three hours long. The show will involve a lot of work. but it will be fun for everyone involved."
