The National Honor Society welcomed their new members at a tea held on March 10. The new initiates received invitations to the tea on March 4.

The requirements for a senior is to have a B average and be elected by the faculty on the basis of scholarship, character, and contribution to the school.

Elected seniors are Karen Anderson, Charlotte Ariano, Dave Arnswald, Sue Batdorf, Beth Becker, Caryn Benton, Bill Besenhofer, Arlene Biestek, Dan Billings, Joyce Blume, Tina Bocskay, and Laura Bornhoeft. Other seniors are Karen Bottari, Marcia Boufford, Steve Bullmer, Marjorie Cameron, and Karen Dahm.

New initiates include Bob Davis, Sue Degenhardt, Maria de la Torre, Karen Dixon, John Dolan, and Liz Doroskin, Tom Duntemann, Marianne Erickson, John Fischer, Karla Fischer, Karen Fredrickson, Michael Freemire, Teresa Gast and Joanne Gilbert were also chosen.

More senior members are Pat Gleason, Renee Goslee, Kathy Gruhn, Mary Gundler, Audrey Gundling, Ken Gustafson, Dan Hammer, Vicky Harrision, Kris Helms, Larry Henkle, and Kathy Henrich. Also chosen were Glenn Henrikson, Bruce Hillner, Sharon Hiltwein, Martha Hink, Jacqueline Hoag, Karen Hodorowski, Linda Hughes, Jo Ellen Humphreys, Jay Jacob and Debby Jahnke.

Still more members include Don Jensen, Dave Judy, Jan Kilar, Bill Knowles, Valerie Koehler, Ken Kovar, Karen Krol, Doug Kuite, Leslie Ladd, Arthur Larson, Wendy Lau, Pete Le Blond, John Matus, Pat McMahon, Donna Mertes, Linda Meyer, Dave Moeller, Doug Moore, Keith Moranz, Anita Moritz, Mike Mortenson, Sue Mott, Donna Musselman, Valerie Neal, Valerie Nowak, and Pat Oelrich. Liz Packard, Donna Permoda, Joyce Phillips, Jim Punsinski, Patti Rajski, Debby Ritchie, Amy Robertson, Phillip Robinsin, Sandy Salerno, Mary Sauber, Steve Skpoick, Barb Slater, Michele Slegr, Kurt Smith, Bill Smith, Cathy Spellbrink, Nancy Spiegler, and Vicki Stirrat were also honored.

Dick Suchomel, Rick Van Etten, Steve Van Scoyoc, Barb Weaver, Sue Wiese, Laurie Wieser, Debby Winclechter, Cheri Wittbold, and Ching Kwang Wong rounded out the list of those who received honors in the Senior Class.

Junior initates were required to be in the upper five per cent of their class and have no grade below a B. New Junior initiates are Gene Bartucci, Bonnie Bonnivier, Kathy Bos, Sherry Didier, Diane Doty, Barb Drensky, Karla Felde, Jon Ferriaolo, Shirley Frank, Diana Grinbergs, Steve Henderson, Maureen Jaacks, Russ Jacoby, Marilyn Janecek, Dave Johnson, and Norma Just.

Liz Klein, Joyce Koelper, Carla Krebs, Gayle Kremers, Sue Mac Donald, Noreen McAndrews, Bill Mitchell, Carolyn Nielsen, Pete Olson, Jan Pintacura, Garry Rapata, Pete Rapinchuk, Matt Rusch, Debbie Scheskie, Greg Schmidt, Sue Unfer, and Kathie Unzicker also filled this requirement.
