Hosting the annual District 207 Triangular, the Warriors ran up against Maine South and Maine North. South ran away with the meet 115‑80. North finished with no points.
Jack St. John '71 opened the meet with a two‑mile win, and Ken Kovar '71 and Kevin Wright '72 placed second and third. In the low hurdles Mike Pruitt '71 chalked up a first, Kevin Terry '71 grabbed a second, and Bill Klippert '74 got fourth. The high hurdles found Pruitt getting another first, Terry second, Klippert third, and Glenn Kurfess '72 fifth.
In the Central Suburban League Conference meet, the cindermen took second out of the eight teams entered.
St. John blazed to the fastest time in the state this year as he grabbed a first in the twomile. Kovar bagged a second. Tom Duntemann '71 finished second in the 880‑yard run. St. John and Don Anderson '71 grabbed first and fourth in the mile for Maine West.

Hosting Palatine and Wheeling in a triangular, Maine trounced Palatine 78‑34 and Wheeling 78‑25.
St. John breezed to a two‑mile victory to open the meet. Duff took a first in his specialty, the long jump. Hildreth grabbed a first in the shot put. The high hurdles and the low hurdles found Pruitt getting two firsts. In the pole vault Pruitt got another first, his third of the day. Duntemann picked up a first in the 880‑yard run, and St. John grabbed a first in the miles.
Traveling to the Evanston Relays, the cindermen placed fifth out of the 13 teams entered.
The two‑mile relay, consisting of Duntemann, Farmer, Gyssler, and Forkins, picked up a fourth.
In the long jump Duff jumped to his longest jump of the year and captured first. Buff leaped 22'7". At the present time this is the longest jump recorded in state this year.
