Aquiana, Orchesis To Present Their
Annual Spring Shows

"Water Wonderland," Aquiana's annual water ballet show, had its first showing last night. It will also be presented tonight and tomorrow nights, April 23 and 24. The time is 8 p.m. in the Maine West pool area.

The show is a take‑off on Walt Disney characters. Some of the characters are Winnie the Pooh portrayed by Jan Nicodem '72, Snow White by Jane Campbell '71, and Goofy by Debbie Wallace '72. The characters of Tinkerbell, Alice in Wonderland, Sleeping Beauty, and the Seven Dwarfs, and Bambie are also included in the show.

Other members seen in the show are Barb Weaver '71, Donna Luneburg '73, Nancy Franklin '74, Chris Ritzema '72, Darsy Osborn '72, Jack Tookey '72, Lois Benton '71, Jill Spicer '73, Kim Norton '73, and Jacquie Samp '73.

"I think the show will be a lot better than last year. The costumes are fabulous, and the intermission should be quite good," said Tern Figge '71, president.

Tickets are being sold all lunch periods in the cafeteria and by Aquiana members. The price is $.75 for adults and $.50 for children on Thursday night and $1 for adults and $.50 for children on Friday and Saturday nights.

Orchesis, the Modern Dance Club, will present "We Tried But..." May 7 and 8 at 8 p.m. in the auditorium. Tickets are $1 for adults and $.50 for children and can be purchased from the Orchesis members.

The show, sponsored by Miss Susan Koester, will consist of two acts. Act I will be centered around the North and pantomime. The theme for Act II will be dances of the past, present, and future.

Kathy Bober '71 was in charge of tickets; Faith Luebking '71 designed the program; Kathy Ingrish '73 was in charge of sets; and Betsy Packard '71 was the publicity chairman. The homeroom assemblies were arranged by Jan Fendius '71; and Nancy Dema '71, Lori Anderson, '72, Jean Georgepoulos '71, and Jan Fendius '71 arranged the script.
