West Hosts College Night

Spring College Night will be held here at Maine West on Thursday, May 13, at 7:30 for all four Maine schools in District 207. Students and their parents will have the opportunity to meet and speak with representatives of colleges and universities from all over the United States.

Representatives will have specific information about their particular college or general college information. Juniors are urged to attend to learn as much as possible about the colleges of their choice, because they will be filling out admission applications in the fall of their senior year.

Representatives will be present from junior colleges as well as the four‑year institutions. About 130 colleges and universities are expected to participate. Parochial school students and their parents are also invited to attend.

Students will visit representatives from the state schools according to a prearranged schedule, as there will be a large amount of students wishing to obtain information about these colleges. The schedule will be available in the printed program for the evening.

The evening will consist of information sessions of 30 minutes each, with 10 minutes between sessions so that students and parents may move from one meeting to another.

The first session will begin promptly at 7:30. The fourth will be a browsing session. Maps and schedules will be available at the entrance of the building, and students will also be on hand to act as guides.
