All MW Girls Welcome Intramural Sport Events

As the sixth week of school comes to an end, many clubs and organizations have elected their officers. Most clubs have started planning their activities for the year.

Miss Royleen Tipton, sponsor of G.R.A., said, "All girls of Maine West are members of G.R.A. and all activities sponsored by G.R.A. are open to all girls." Girls intramural tennis, soccer‑speedaway, swimming, track and field, and archery are or will be taking place in the near future. Currently, G.R.A. is making plans for their Halloween party. G.R.A. also handles concessions for all football games.

Future Teachers Club is planning their programs for this year along with Diane Garms '73, president. This year they want a special Future Teachers project such as collecting money for a children's home or caroling. Some of their topics to discuss are how to prepare for college, how to work on lesson plans,

information on different colleges, and information on tutoring. Last year, six people worked in summer school. This year they must be signed up by December in order to practice their teaching skills. Future Teachers, sponsored by Mrs. Joan Plock, meets every other Thursday and is open to everyone.

Office Occupations Club recently had their elections for fourth period officers. They are Michele Stover '71, president; Diane Yesier '71, vice‑president; Barb Mathews '71, secretary and news reporter; and Joanne Mazonne '71, treasurer. The area delegate is Darline Thompson '71.

Spanish Club, sponsored by Miss Heidemarie Rupp, is going to try a cooking experiment by cooking Spanish dinners after school.
