After losing three games and tying one, the varsity soccer team beat Maine North 4‑0. This will go down as the first soccer victory in the school's history.
It was a hard fought game, because both teams had tied in their last meeting. Each team wanted a victory this time. The defense played a great game under strong wind conditions that day. The most outstanding player of the game was goalie, Gary Navratil '71, who deserved the shutout.
Fred Campabaso '72 and Dennis Koutsopoulos '71 were the goal scorers for the Warriors with two goals apiece. The offense passed the ball very well and put a lot of pressure on the opponent's goalie. Dan Hammer '71 also assisted on one goal and Tom Jackson '71 on another.
