GRA Activities Look Exciting

What's happening in G.R.A.? Recently G.R.A. held a track meet, a swim meet, a tennis tournament, and an archery shoot. Results from the track meet were as follows: First place in the 100‑yard dash was Karen Hodorowski '71; first in the 440 was Pam Ware '74; in the discus was Kathie Unzicker '72; Laura Geiger '72 was first in long jump. Debbie Jacunski '74 first in shot put; Sue Batdorf '71 was first in the high jump; and Laura Geiger '72 ran for first place in the 50‑yard dash. Finally, as a team, Karen Hodorowski '71, Laura Geiger '72, Kathy Sahs '73, and Sue Batdorf '71 ran the 440‑yard relay in less than one minute.

The competitive swimmers placed in seven events out of 10. Jill Giesel '74 swam for a first in 25‑yard free style. The girls are hoping for more participants to help make next year even better.

The tennis team played Maine East, Maine South, and Prospect this year in their league. The girls have recently chosen as their co‑captains Gayle Kremers '72, and Sue MacDonald '72. Even though the girls' team won few meets, they have improved and are planning a successful season next year.
