The gymnastics team went all the way last Friday night clinching their first victory in two seasons. They outscored Lake Park 89.80 to 85.28.

All‑around man Rich Dancaster '71 beat Lake Park's all-around man as Maine West secured the lead in every event. The top scorers in each event were Steve Schwab '72 6.0 in free exercise, Tom Jackson '71 6.5 on side horse, Rich Dancaster '71 7.0 on high bar, 6.0 on rings, and 6.4 on the parallel bars. John Leer '72 scored a 5.9 on the trampoline.

Maine North hosted the musclemen on Saturday, December 12, but the varsity was not included. The frosh-soph failed in their attempt for their first victory.

In competition outside of the Central Surburban League conference, the gymnasts were unsuccessful. They suffered defeat at the hands of Waukegan, December 4, 109.18 to 79.53, and Arlington on the following afternoon, 121.55 to 80.52.

Downed once more on December 8, Oak Park beat the Warriors 117.84 to 82.69.

Proviso West will be hosting the team tonight at 7:30, minus one Warrior. Steve Holmbeck '72 will be out of action for a few weeks because of a fractured foot.
