Who are those guys at the basketball games wearing all those different hats and playing their kazoos? For those uninformed individuals, the group is called the Tribe.
The organization consists of guys from the Sophomore, Junior, and Senior Classes with the seniors dominating the roster. Their major proposals have been that they will have special sweat shirts and have to wear any kind of hat.
They recently received certification as a club here at Maine West. Coach Ervin Geisler chose to be the fearless faculty sponsor of this notorious organization.
The elected officers of this club leave something to be desired. But, of course, with the start of something new, one can't expect to have everything work out satisfactory.

Jim Krumpolz '71, a man of many talents, leads his merry men in cheers and music‑making at the games while doubling as president of the club. Ken Freer '71, as vice‑president, is the man endowed with the job of taking over if the president dies. This would be like replacing a bad egg with a worse one.
In the position of secretary, the club chose Steve Forkins '71. Even though he can't type or write legibly, everyone considers his legs to be on the exquisite side. Gary Navratil '71 fulfills the position of treasurer. Everyone would think a treasurer would be able to add. Can Gary?
With all satire set aside, the Tribe is basically a serious club with all the members dedicated to one general cause. The cause is for the advancement of school spirit through organized cheers and to help the teams win in any sportmanlike way they can.
