Maine West To Present
Creative Arts Magazine

Maine West's second annual Creative Arts Magazine will be on sale from the first week in May until they are sold out. They will probably be offered for sale first at the Art Festival Exhibit.

Included in the magazine are poetry, short stories, essays, photography, and photographs of any three‑dimensional artwork.

Mr. Donald May, co‑sponsor, stated that the magazine has been in the planning stages since November 1970. Student coordinators, seniors Nancy Sutor and Ken Hodorowski, have found that much of the material submitted has been done so in the past few weeks.

Mr. George Blanas, the other co‑sponsor, would like more art work submitted. Since it is quite simple to photograph any three-dimensional objects, students entering material in this area have a better chance of having it included in this year's publication.

Faculty members assisting in the production of the magazine are Mr. John Craigle, who is helping in the photography of objects, and Mr. William Metes, whose printing classes will print the magazine.

Student committees include Ben Adair '72, Karel Celichowski '72, Chris Dadabo '71, Diane Gatsis '72, Dee Dee Scarff '72, Karen Schwiesow '71, Eileen Whalen '73, and Diane Zmuda '71 on the art committee.

Judy Eannarino '71, Marcia Galinski '71, Michael Johnson '71, Barry Luneburg '71, and Caroline Metzger '71 make up the photography committee.

The poetry committee consists of Anne Brosseit '71, Donna Duwe '73, Leslie Ladd '71, Debi Mrowiec '72, Joy Schulenburg '73, and Debbie Ward '74.

Other committee members are Sue Degenhardt '71, Michael Freemire '71, Melanie Johnstone '71, Reiner Lueck '72, Pam Nehring '73, and Lea Skittone '72. These students comprise the prose committee.
