There is one man at Maine West who makes boys' intramurals successful. This man is Coach Miley Hotchkiss. Without his superb leadership, intramurals would just not be the same.

The past month has seen senior and junior basketball and table tennis competition completed. On the senior level in basketball the season competition was won by Coach Richard Carlini's sixth period class with a record of 6‑0. Members of the winning team were Jim Dunn, John Behnke, Gary Freise, John Matus, Leroy Pohl Mike Berry, Bob Nelson, Fred Martens, and Rich Henk.

Coach Tom Frederick's ninth period class won the double elimination in the junior competition. This team consisted of Joe Hanley, Kurt Klein, John Woodley, Jeff Somerville, Glenn Kurfess, and Al Biestek.

Randy Lee was the champion of the senior table tennis tournament. Pete Le Blond was the runnerup. Gary Barrett defeated Ron Lee 21‑15, 21‑11 for the junior crown.

Freshman and sophomore basketball and table tennis competition is under way at the moment.
