Brotherhood is an honorary society whose members are elected from their respective class. Friendliness and ability to reach out towards other people are the qualifications the students look for while voting.
On Tuesday, February 23, marking the beginning of National Brotherhood Week, an assembly announcing the newly elected members was held. The assembly was non‑mandatory and was held in the spectator gym during homeroom and first period. Those students who desired not to attend the assembly were assigned to certain study halls.
During the assembly, Mr. Jay Kessler, vice‑president of Campus Life International, spoke on his experiences and the meaning of brotherhood. The folk group, "The New Direction," performed and the announcing of the new members occurred.
