Maine West To Hold Open Campus Meeting |
|||||||||
| On September 30 the Board of Education will hold a discussion on the topic of Open Campus at Maine West. This will be an open meeting where all interested students, faculty, and parents are encouraged to come. All four of the Maine schools will hold one of these meetings, which are to be considered fact finding, not a recommendation of the issue. The results will be passed on to Dr. Richard Short, superintendent, and the |
Board of Education for a decision. Any group or individual can come and make a presentation on the Open Campus idea. To do this the person will follow where anyone can comment. A committee made up of teachers, students, parents, and administrators has met throughout the summer to study Open Campus. Last spring this committee visited various high schools that employ the Open Campus system. They questioned students, faculty, and even businessmen in the area. |
