Club News

G.R.A. (Girls Recreation Association) urges all girls to attend any of the activities it offers.

December 2 is the date of their next playnite. First quarter intramural activities are underway with archery on Tuesdays and Thursdays; track and field on Tuesdays and Thursdays; swimming on Monday and Friday; and Tennis on Wednesdays. All activities begin at 3:45 and are open to all girls.

German Club is planning a tentative roller skating party around October 8. It is to be held at the Hub. Anyone interested should contact Mr. Joel Geils, German club sponsor, in A-215. Membership dues for the club are $1. German club sponsors a cultural as well as social activity every month.
Pep Club membership was held during the week of September 13 through September 17. Memberships were taken during all lunch periods at a cost of fifty cents. Pep busses, which will run to the away games, will be announced through the daily bulletin and signs in the cafeteria.

Orchesis, the modern dance club, held clinics on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of this week. The C-wing gym was open after school to all interested girls. The girls learned a modern dance composition which was performed to a Burt Bacharach record. The routine lasts approximately one and one half minute and was choreographed by the club officers.

Yesterday and today are the dates set for the tryouts. All girls who have been selected to join Orchesis will be called tonight and informed. Judges for the tryouts are Miss Karen Kenyon, girls' Physical Education Department chairman; Miss Susan Koester, club sponsor; Nancy Dema '72, president; Lori Anderson '72, vice-president.
