Maine Holds Institute Day

A half-day institute was held on March 16 in which classes were dismissed at 11:26 so that the faculty could prepare for the North Central Evaluation next year.

The North Central Evaluation Committee is composed of educational administrators from all over the area, for the purpose of giving accreditation to high schools. This evaluation will be held in February of 1973.
The receiving of accreditation is necessary so that Maine West graduates will be able to have their credits recognized by a college. The accreditation of each school comes up for review before the commtitee once every seven years.

There will be two more institute days during this school year. The next one is on April, 20 and the last on May 11.
