Aquiana, Splashes In
Annual Show

"Splash-Backs" is the theme for this year's Aquiana swim show. It will be a flashback into the past. The dates it will be presented are Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, April 20, 21, and 22. It will be shown at 8 p.m., and tickets will be sold for $1 by all Aquiana members.

The show will start out in the 1920's with a Charleston. This will be a flapper swim act with nine girls including Jill Falsted '73, Carol Cahill '74, Stacy VandeVusse '75, Joanne M c Andrews '74, Jan Nicodem '72, Nancy Franklin '74, Kathy Mordue '73, and Chris Ritzema '72. The show will then move on to other numbers depicting past events and people, such as "The Sinking of the Titanic," "Ku Klux Klan," and "Laurel and Hardy," a duet by Sue Jenik '74 and Jacquie Samp '73.

"Gone With the Wind," featuring Jan Nicodem '72 and Bill Casperson '72, and "Swing Duo" with Lynda Mielke '72 and Fred Suevel '72, two boy-girl duets will follow. The show will end with "Space Age."
Also included in the show will be two solos. "American in Paris," which is a take-off on Gene Kelly, will feature Darcy Osborn '74; and Debbie Wallace '72 will perform in "Shirley Temple."

A large stroking number will be done in a military fashion by 12 girls. They will include Diane Kruppa '73, Donna Luneberg '73, Lynda Mielke, Sandy Helminski '75, Kathy Mordue '73, Debbie Carstens '73, Cindy Conroy '75, Leslie Nicodem '75, Chris Ritzema '72, Joanne McAndrews, Stacy VandeVusse, and Carol Bruhn '75.

Mrs. Patricia Kopp, the sponsor of Aquiana, feels that this should be a very good show because it is an interesting look into the past. The girls have been practicing for several months in order to perfect their efforts.

Officers of Aquiana are Jan Nicodem '72, president; Debbie Wallace '72, vice-president; and Lynda Mielke '72, secretary-treasurer. Carol Bruhn '75 is costumes chairman.
