CONFUSION

By KATHY JORDAN

I'm 18: how about you?
Can you vote in '72?
Can you, will you, won't you say,
Who should rule the U.S.A.?

They say Nixon's too tricky,
And McGovern too sticky.
While Wallace preaches hate,
They say Humphrey's too late.

It's said McCarthy is an old teenybopper,
And Lindsey a confirmed partyhopper.
Many say: Remember the Kennedy trial,
And ask ... Is Muskie's temper really so vile?

I can't make up my mind,
Presidents are hard to find!
Candidates have so much to say,
what should I say on voting day?
