Snow Delays Season Opener; Stickmen Face Forest View

The Maine West golf team opened up its season, hopefully, against Forest View yesterday. The first match was to be on March 30 but was cancelled due to the inclement weather. After the game against Forest View, the team is home for a game challenging Wheeling. That is scheduled for today. On Monday they will play Glenbrook South there.
 Paul Witkay '72 is the only letterman on the team. Other seniors are Pete Olsen and Tom Runde. Junior members are Mike Adams, Jeff Allind, Dale Drufke, Art Serbin, and Mark Wagner. The only players from the Class of '74 are Glenn Dalbke and Tom Grueter.

Last year the team finished seventh out of nine schools in the conference. This year they hope to win their first championship in their 11-year history. The coach is Mr. Kenneth Olson.
