Hiking Club Forms;
Mr. Craigle Sponsor
Maine West students are now being offered a new club activity. The newly organized club is for hikers.

Hiking Club has thus far walked on two hikes. The first was to River Trails Nature Center from Beck Lake, and the second was to Dam 4 from the Campground Woods.

There are approximately 50 interested hikers thus far.

There is no experience necessary to become a member of the new club. The only request is that a permission slip with the insurance number on it be filled out.
 According to the sponsor, Mr. John Craigle, it is too late in the year to organize the club into a paying membership, but there are hopes that next year will bring a more functional club.

Since the club was organized so late this year, there will be no officers elected.

Next year the club will be active in both the fall and spring of the year. There will be elected officers and membership dues of approximately $1 to $2.
