| It has been a hard year for the stickmen so far. Between Mother Nature and bad luck the Warriors are still looking for their first victory of the young season. As of now, the Warrior record stands at 0-7, with losses to Forest View, Wheeling, Prospect, Glenbrook North, Glenbrook South, Maine South, and Deerfield. In their first meet of the season, the Warriors lost to Forest View 156-158 despite setting an all-school record low score as a team. Glen Dalbke '74 shot a |
38; Jeff Potter '73 a 39; Pete Olsen '72 a 40; and Art Serbin '73 carded a 41. In spite of these fine efforts the Warriors lost by two strokes. The Warriors lost to Wheeling in a nonconference confrontation by a wider margin of 12 strokes 162-174. Jeff Potter carded an excellent 38 for the Warriors' low score. The Warriors then met a tough competitor in Glenbrook South but held close only to lose by seven strokes. On April 22 the Warriors competed in the Conant Invitational finishing 21 out of 29 teams entered in the meet. Then the Warriors were beaten by Maine South in a close match 168-171. |
