Maine Students Elect New Class Officer's

Elections were recently held by each of the classes in order to elect officers for the school year of 1972-73. The officers for the Class of '75 are Bob Kraves, treasurer; Merry Gunderson, secretary; Gary Dunhan, vice-president; and Jeff Dennis, president.

The juniors of next year elected as their officers: Kris Beedy, treasurer; Grace Wright, secretary; Karen McGavin, vice-president; and Bruce Winchlecter, president. The Senior Class Council executive board will consist of: Claudia Weed, treasurer; Lynn Heiden, secretary; Gail Singer, vice-president; and Phil Vaccarello, president.
Chris Royal '71 placed fifteenth in the first National Junior Olympics for fencing. They were held at Notre Dame High School in Morton Grove. Four Des Plaines' girls competed in the state finals of the Illinois Amateur Fencing League of America held at Arlington Heights High School.

Scott Wagner '72 recently attended the twenty-ninth annual Distributive Educational National Leadership Conference which was held in Los Angeles, California. Scott represented Illinois as the vice-president along with 52 other from this state.

"The conference was an experience which I will never forget. It was a tremendous success," said Scott. The purpose of the conference was to elect national officers.
