| By KATHY JORDAN, EDITOR "Nothing is impossible to the mind. All its guidance and power are available to you. When you have fully realized THOUGHT CAUSES ALL, you will know that there will never be any limits that you yourself do not impose." In the very near future the prerequisite of success will be recognized not as a PHD, but as a PMA-Positive Mental Attitude. To achieve a goal a person must only believe absolutely that he is able to accomplish the feat. Rather than spending so much time thinking how we can't do something, we should concentrate on how we can. For example, a native English woman half-heartedly moved to America 17 years ago. Every year she claimed that she desired to see England again, but she spent her time dreaming up excuses why she couldn't go, and she never got back to England. We must realize that the limits are not imposed on us by life, but by ourselves. Earl Nightingale tells you to "dispense with limitations and realize there is virtually no limit to your growth and development on the land upon which you now find yourself, with your roots deep in the soil of a working philosophy of life and your mind and body in a climate of freedom." |
Opportunities are everywhere, but we must recognize them. This is where the right attitude is vital to our success. With the wrong attitude, our opportunities would appear as problems. "Real opportunity lies within a person, not outside. What lies behind you and what lies before you are tiny matters compared to what lies within you." First an aim must be chosen; this is where many people make their first mistake by not being goal-oriented. After establishing the idea, you must literally fall in love with it. Then this idea must be focused, dedicated, and disciplined to make this attitude a habit. The one question that will stump the most people on the street is what is your goal, where is your life going? In a career situation the work should be viewed as an opportunity for growth and development. Our opportunities are all equal, but because of the way we use our minds, the rewards are unequal. At this point in our lives it is definitely up to us which path we wish to follow. |
