Society Sponsors 'Crimson Bridge' |
|||||||||
| Sounds from "Crimson Bridge" filled the spectator gym last Tuesday, October 5, during second period and part of third period at an all school assembly, as Brotherhood sponsored a concert. The program began with the performances from "Crimson Bridge," a well known band from Trinity College in Deerfield. The band performs for high schools all over the Midwest. Wednesday, October 6, at 7:30 P.M. in' the Maine West auditorium, another, more elaborate concert was held for parents and others who were interested in the Brotherhood Society and its purpose. Tickets went on sale last Monday, October 4, in the cafeteria. The price of the tickets was $1.50 and $2 at the door. The money will go toward the band and Brotherhood Society. |
The purpose of the concert was entertainment for all and for the purpose of raising money so that Brotherhood will schedule more events, such as this, in the future. Brotherhood whose president is Ken Steinken '72, plans to have more programs of this kind again during the school year. According to Ken, he feels that the message is a unique one in that they talked about the personal relationship with God. Ken feels that this ties in with Brotherhood because it's a brotherly attitude. Both groups are trying to achieve a better relationship among all of the students through these types of programs. Jeannie Wolf '74 took charge of all publicity for the concert, and Jeanne Kennedy '74 was in charge of fund raising. |
