To a Friendship
If only you could see
That the way to live
Is by loving, and to love,
You have to understand
That no matter what you look like,
Or what you stand for is not necessary
To a friendship.
If in the whole world there would be
Only the two of us,
We would have to discover
That to live, we would need to love
And to understand.
If we could just do that,
We could see how love and understanding
Are so very important
To a friendship.
If only everyone could open up their eyes
And see how to love and understand,
The world would be such a beautiful place.
To laugh and to cry,
No matter what we do,
Love and understanding is a must
To a friendship.
