OCTOBER 29, 1971

In Council

Student Council is centering their efforts on two important approaching events: Homecoming and V-Show.

Tickets are now on sale at the head of the cafeteria for the Homecoming Dance, "Closer to Home", which will be held tomorrow night, October 30, from 8:30 to 11. The price will be $2.50 a couple. The music will be provided by "Kelly," and the 1971 Homecoming Queen will be crowned at 9:30 but will be announced between games.
V-Show tickets went on sale on October 26 at the Maine West bookstore and at Spiegler's in downtown Des Plaines for $1.50 per person. Performances will be given on November 18, 19, and 20. Previews for the freshmen will be given on Monday, sophomores on Tuesday, juniors on Wednesday, and seniors on Thursday.

Student Council is also checking on getting theater prices lowered, getting the Des Plaines Library open on Sundays for the benefit of the students, and trying to get movies for PAR students. These things are still in the process of being checked into and nothing has been made definite.
