Matmen Win Two,
Deerfield Next Foe

So far the Maine West grapplers have fared well in the first three wrestling matches of the year against Prospect, November 24; Oak Park, December 3; and Morton West, December 4.

The varsity has won two and lost one. They upset Prospect and Morton West and lost to Oak Park. The junior varsity has won one and lost two. The sophomores beat Morton West and Prospect while losing to Oak Park. The freshmen are also two and one.

The matmen have proven to be very good competition against their opponents.
The freshmen have shown great strength by creaming Prospect and Morton West and losing by only six points to Oak Park.

Although the grapplers are facing a tough team today, they think they will beat them. In this Friday's meet they will be facing Deerfield in the B-wing gymnasium at 6:30 p.m.

The coaches are expecting a rough match, but are also hoping for a win.

In the last three matches against Deerfield, Maine West's grapplers have lost to the Deerfield matmen. This Friday they are hoping for a change in their previous record.
