'Mame' Selected As Musical Production |

| Mame is the all-school musical which will be presented on March 22 through 25 at 8 p.m.. and a matinee at 4 p.m. on March 26. The cost of tickets will range from $1.50 to $2.50 and will be sold in the bookstore. According to Mr. Robert Kuite, head of the Music De-partment, "This will be a fun show with a big cast. It's about Auntie Mame who says 'Live, live, live!' Her motto is 'Do your own thing, baby!' " This year's musical is one of the biggest events to be produced, in so far as participation of the faculty, staff, and students. In all there are approximately 300 to 400 person involved in the production of the musical. Mr. George Blanas and his classes are working on the costumes, which will be |
done in the 1890's style. Sets are being constructed by Mr. John Craigle and his classes. Industrial Arts classes, taught by Mr. Robert Pelikan, are building the stage. Mr. Vern Brownell is involved with the audio-visual portion of the musical. Mr. Kuite, who is general director of the musical, is being assisted by Mr. Ronald Mills, drama director, Mr. Donald Lord, choral director, and Mr. Francis Vauple, orchestra director. Mr. Gerald Hug is in charge of publicity and ticket sales. Mr. Grant Anderson is assisting Mr. Lord with choral work. Miss Susan Koester is choreographing the production, and Miss Linda Haka is the publicity manager. Mr. Robert Soltysik is heading the lighting crew. |
