Letters

Dear Editor:
I have just finished reading the February 11, 1972 issue of the Westerner and wish to compliment you and your staff for preparing one of the best issues I have ever seen. Without question, the news articles, feature stories, sports stories, editorials, letters to the editor, and excellent half-tones make this issue a most interesting one. Please share my enthusiasm for the Westerner with the members of your staff.

I wish to assure you that you and the members of your staff can count on my support at all times.

Dear Editor:
I'm writing about the corny horoscopes you have been putting in the paper for all the big holidays. Horoscopes to many people are a serious matter or else people just like to read them for interest. Then the Westerner comes along with horoscopes that make no sense at all.

"Cupid is on the loose, if you're not careful you may end up falling in love with your dog" or "Don't go out with Dracula on Valentine's Day" is supposed to be funny. I've lost my sense of humor somewhere, because I don't find anything funny about them.

Instead of drawing readers to the paper I think that you're turning them away. Students read the paper to be informed or to be amused, but the horoscopes don't do either.

I'm sure more interesting things happen around this school that the students would like to know about, instead of reading false horoscopes.
