| Question: What do you think of education on the whole? Sheila Jackson '74 - Education and teaching are good but the overcrowding is making it so that the teachers cannot: spend much time with the individual students; therefore, we don't learn as much. Debbie Souter '75 - It's improved for the better. That can be expected, but I'm glad that the teachers don't hit us with their rulers like they used to. Sue Slater '73 - I think education today is getting better. College education is more casual and people tend to learn more when they are not conditioned as they are in a high school. Ken Tekiela '74 - It stinks! Wally Miller '72 - The teaching staff is like Ocean Front High School. Kurt Rossberger '72 - I agree 100 per cent with Wally. Diane Vanderwarren '74 - When you're getting an education, it stinks; but when you get out of school, you wish you were back. Casey Pietrzyk '74 - I think free school would be better. Denise Ehorn '73 - I think that it would be better if we didn't have to be dealt with like we were in prison. Irene Szafranski '74 - I think it's a lot more advanced than it was a few years ago. Bruce Gebert '74 - I think you should get as much as you can out of it. Laura Lundvick '75 - It has improved because we have a wider selection of subjects that we can choose from. Candy Clark '72 - Education is good, but the administration is .... Mike Wood '74 - It's a big farce. Pam Massilo '75 - I think it has improved in Maine West High School over the past several years. |
