Orchesis To Dance Show; |

| "Every Picture Tells a Story," this year's Orchesis show, will be presented on April 14 and 15 in the auditorium. Members are still working on the choreographing of the dances. Costumes are also being planned. There will be three solo and two duet numbers. The soloists are Roberta Bober '72, Kathi Ingrish '73, and Nancy Evans '73. The duets will include: Danette Bianco '75, Nancy Dema '72, Elaine Caras '74, and Diana Burman '74. Miss Susan Koester, Orchesis' sponsor, choreographed a number in which all the members will participate. The finale will also include everyone. There will be many styles of dance featured in the show including jazz and interpretative. Dress rehearsals will take place the week before the show. As of yet scenery and background for the dances haven't been decided on. |
"Splashbacks" Aquiana's annual water ballet show, will be presented April 20, 21, and 22. The show is based on flashbacks from the 1900's to today. The show includes such acts as flappers, space age, beach scene, Ku Klux Klan, Keystone Kops, and Al Capone and gang. Darcy Osborne will re-enact Gene Kelly as an "American in Paris," and Debbie Wallace '72 stars as Shirley Temple. There will be three acts with boys. "Gone With the Wind" stars Jan Nicodem '72 and Bill Casperson '72. The swing trio of the 30's features Lynda Mielke '72 and the beach scene has Cathy Clausen '73, Kathy Mordue '73, and Chris Ritzema '72 with three boy partners. The entire club is working hard three nights a week in order to have the best show in years. "I hope everyone will consider coming to the show as it really is very interesting," said Lynda Mielke, secretary. |
