Cafeteria Campaign Proves Successful

Congratulations students, the "Cafeteria Clean‑Up Campaign" has turned out a huge success. The cafeteria never looked so clean. We're sure everyone, students and faculty alike, would agree that it's much nicer eating and socializing during the common periods in a clean cafeteria than one with milk cartons, lunch bags, and wrappers all over.

We, on the Westerner staff, feel the success is due primarily to the new garbage cans purchased by Student Council during the summer. Putting the new cans between the long sets of tables makes it very convenient for the students who are too lazy to walk far to throw their trash away.

Student effort, has, of course, a large part to do with the clean‑up success. Let's keep that effort up all year, not only in the keeping of the cafeteria, but in other school projects and activities.

After all, this is our school and this is our year so let's make it the very best possible. Get involved and have a good year!
