Intramurals

Boys' intramurals have already started for the year with the opening sports such as golf and tennis. The intramurals program at Maine West is open to all boys at all levels.

There are two intramural tournaments in progress as of Monday, September 18. These two tournaments are golf and tennis. There are also free swims every Tuesday.

However, for those who are not interested in either of the previously mentioned sports, more will be offered throughout the year such as baseball, handball, volleyball, and weight lifting. To find out when your favorite one will be, listen to the morning bulletin or see Mr. Miley Hotchkiss, head of intramurals.

For those who participate in the program at Maine West, there will be trophies awarded at the end of the year and felt patches will be presented to individuals and teams a the end of each tournament.

Tuesday, September 26, intramurals will offer seniors the chance to get out and join in flag football.

Also, planned in the near future, will be the annual cross country run. No actual date has been set as yet, but it is tentatively planned for October 12. All levels will be involved.
