jewelry, journalism, law, mortician, plastics, postal service, psychology, radio and T.V., social work, and zoology.
There is also a special section devoted to opportunities for women including such fields as engineering and journalism. Qualified persons will be on hand to discuss the various opportunities in each field with the students.
The purpose of this event is to give students the opportunity to talk with people who are employed in the various fields in which the students show an interest. Last year over 3,000 parents and students attended.
Everyone at one time or another is interested in a career that pays well. No matter what it is in, everybody wants a job they enjoy doing, not one they have to do. The only way to insure a good career is by finding out how to prepare for it now.
For college‑bound students, Project BIG is an ideal opportunity to find out what kind of education will be required and how much. For those who have not decided on a career as yet, Project BIG is a good time to learn of the careers available.
