SENIOR CLASS PLAY
Tryouts for this year's Senior Class Play, The Death and Life of Sneaky Fitch, are now in session. Tryouts open to all students will be held today; Monday, March 12; and Tuesday, March 13, starting ninth period and continuing after school. Tryouts by invitation only will be held on Thursday and Friday, March 15 and 16. Students trying out are to bring three to five minutes of poetry or prose. They will also be asked by Mr. Daryl Schultz to do a pantomine and perform an improvisation. The play will be presented on May 4 and 5.
A TAFFY APPLE A DAY KEEPS THE DOCTOR AWAY
Orchesis will sponsor a taffy apple sale on Wednesday, March 14, during ninth period and after school. The taffy apples may be purchased near the front entrance, at the bus concourse, and at the end of downstairs C‑wing.
JAZZIEST CONGRATULATIONS!
The Maine West High School Jazz Combo received a superior rating at the Oak Lawn Jazz Festival held in February. Directed by band teacher Mr. Paul Magnusson, the combo included Bob Biesiedzinski '74 on drums, Phil Fischer '73 on alto sax, Dan Bunce '74 on base, Steve Ware '73 on flugelhorn, and Gary Dole '73 on piano.
BIKINIS ON SKIS
Ski Club will venture to Boyne, Michigan, on Monday, March 26, and will return late Wednesday, March 28. A minimal number of 25 students is needed before the trip can be possible. The trip isn't limited to members only. Members are welcome to invite guests.
Girls‑bring along your bikinis. All girls daring enough to ski in their bikinis will receive a free lift ticket to Wilmot.
