Golfers Wait for Action

The Maine West golf team has hit the course and will be ready for action at the start of the season later this spring. The outlook for the stickmen is very good, with four of last year's five starters returning.

Returning lettermen Glenn Dalbke '74, Jeff Potter '73, and Mark Wagner '73 will lead the varsity squad. They will be trying to better their 4‑8 record of last year in the very tough CSL.

Other stickmen liable to see some action are Paul Frost, Tom Gruetter, Greg Holden, Mike Lopata, Rich Plecenik, all class of '74, and sophomore Scott Kisten.

Coach Kenneth Olson, commenting on his outlook for the upcoming season, said, "I'm optimistic. I feel that we have a better team than last year, and I'm looking for an improved season."
