New Society Members To Be
Initiated Soon

May 6 marks the date for the National Honor Society Tea at which 145 new members will be initiated into the National Honor Society. To become a member a senior has to maintain a B average in all courses determining class rank for seven semesters and has to have taken no less than four full credit courses each year.

To be eligible a junior must be in the upper 5 per cent to the class and have no grades lower than a B in any subject determining class rank. Each nominee is then screened by the faculty and rated good, fair, or poor in three categories: character, service, and leadership. Those selected as nominees have the choice of joining but must pay a fee of $3.
