The 1972‑73 Maine West golf team has gotten their season underway with three wins and four losses. The team's conference record is presently 2‑1.

The returning lettermen are Jeff Potter '73 (number one player for the past two years), Mark Wagner '73, Glen Dalbke '74, and Tom Grueter '74. Other members include: Mike Lopata '74, Paul Frost '74, Greg Holden '74, and Scott Kisten '75.

The strongest contenders facing the Maine West stickmen this year are anticipated to be Glenbrook North and South, New Trier West, and Deerfield.

Coaching the team is Mr. Kenneth Olson. Coach Olson expressed his optimism when asked to remark on this year's competition and team expectations by stating, "We hope to do pretty well; we have experience and should do well in the league."

The Conant Invitational has been changed to Saturday, April 28, and will take place at Golden Acres Country Club.
