DEATH

Death be not proud, though some have called thee
Mighty and dreadful, for thou art not so,
For, those, whom thou think'st, thou dost overthrow,
Die not, poor death, nor yet canst thou kill me . . .
. . .death, thou shalt die.

‑ John Donne, Holy Sonnets, X

Out of the chill and the shadow,
Into the thrill and the shrine;
Out of the dearth and the famine,
Into the fulness divine.

‑ Margaret E. Sangster, Going Home

The undiscovered country, from whose bourn No traveller returns.

- Shakespeare, Hamlet, III, 1
