A MUSICAL DAY
An all‑school non‑mandatory assembly will be held in the spectator gym, today, during periods 7 and 8A. The bands and chorus will perform for the student body. All students not attending the assembly will be assigned to specific study halls.
PERCUSS‑O‑RAMA TONIGHT
At 8 p.m. tonight, 10 band members, forming the Maine West percussion ensemble, will perform in the Percuss‑O‑Rama. Mr. Jake Jerger, special percussion teacher, will direct the group's performance. Admission is free.
NEWLY ELECTED SENIOR CLASS OFFICERS
After hearing the candidates for officers for next year's Senior Class Council give speeches on Wednesday, May 9, the Class of '74 elected Karen McGavin, president; Jeanne Wolf, vice‑president; Marilyn Armbruster, secretary; and Patti Wagner, treasurer.
CONGRATULATIONS COLLEGE‑BOUND
Congratulations are in order for the junior and senior college-bound students who are enrolled in the Advanced Placement program here at Maine West. The Advancement Placement tests determining whether or not the students will receive college credit for the course were held this past week.
TIME OFF FOR GOOD BEHAVIOR?
Whether or not the vacations coming up for the students of Maine West is for good behavior may be questionable, but nevertheless appreciated. On Monday, May 21, school will be dismissed early at 1:53 p.m. And in honor of Memorial Day there will be no classes held on Monday, May 28.
